Unbound LLC (“Unbound,” “we,” “us,” or “our”) provides a fitness and client management platform for trainers and their clients. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, disclose, and protect information when you use:
• The Unbound mobile app (iOS and Android)
• The Unbound web app
• The Unbound website
• Any related services, features, or tools
By using Unbound, you agree to the practices described in this Privacy Policy.
1 - Information We Collect
We collect information in three ways:
• information you provide directly,
• information collected automatically, and
• information provided by your trainer.
1.1 - Information You Provide
• Account information: name, email address, password, phone (optional)
• Profile information: gender (optional), weight
• Workout data: assigned workouts, workout history, weights, reps, sets, completions
• Nutrition data: meal logs, meal plans, ingredients, macros
• Habit tracking: check-ins
• Messages: chat messages between trainers and clients
• Timezone: device timezone for accurate workout scheduling
• Media uploads: exercise video uploads, profile picture
• Payment information: collected via Stripe (we do not store credit card numbers)
1.2 - Information Collected Automatically
When using Unbound, we automatically collect:
• Device information: device type, operating system
• App performance data: crash logs, diagnostics
• Usage data: pages viewed, features used, actions taken
• Approximate location: derived from timezone or device settings (we do not track GPS)
• Cookies & similar technologies: for website analytics and session management
1.3 - Information Provided by Trainers
Trainers may add:
• Client email address for account setup
• Assigned workouts, meals, forms
• Notes related to coaching
• Client progress metrics
Trainers must obtain consent from clients before adding their information.
2 - How We Use Your Information
We use collected data to:

• Create and manage accounts
• Assign workouts, programs, and meal plans
• Track progress, habits, and workouts
• Deliver messaging between trainers and clients
• Personalize user experience

• Send administrative messages (password reset, security notices)
• Trainers may contact clients through the platform
2.3 - Security, Fraud, Abuse Prevention
• Authenticate users

2.4 - Payment Processing
• Process payments through Stripe
• Manage subscriptions, invoices, and transactions
We never store full credit card details.
3 - How We Share Information

Trainer can view:
• Workouts
• Check-ins
• Progress metrics
• Meal logs
• Messages
Clients control what information they share with their trainers.
3.2 - Service Providers
We share necessary data with trusted vendors such as:
• Xano (backend)
• Stripe (payments)
• Analytics services
• Email providers
• Push notification providers
• File storage providers (e.g. Vimeo)
These providers only use data to perform services for Unbound.
3.3 - Legal Requirements
We may disclose information if we must comply with:

• Government requests
• Protection of rights, safety, or security
4 - Data Retention & Deletion
4.1 - Data Retention
We retain data as long as your account is active or as needed to:
• Provide the service
• Comply with legal obligations
• Resolve disputes
4.2 - Soft Deletion
When a user (trainer or client) deletes data (e.g., a meal, workout, or plan)
• The record becomes soft deleted
• The record remains non-visible to the user
• It can be restored within 30 days before permanent deletion
4.3 - Full Account Deletion
You may request full deletion at any time.
This includes:
• Profile data
• Workout history
• Meal logs
• Progress metrics
• Messages
We will permanently erase your data within 30 days, except where required by law.
5 - Data Security
We use industry-standard security practices to protect your data:
• HTTPS encryption
• Encrypted databases
• Secure authentication
• Role-based access controls
• Routine audits
• Logging & monitoring
Despite these measures, no system is 100% secure.
6 - Children's Privacy
Unbound is not intended for children under 13.
We do not knowingly collect data from children under 13.
If we learn we have, we will delete it immediately.
